That must mean it's finishing on the BBC soon, I guess. I think I missed two or three episodes already, so I'll wait for Netflix. This way I don't have to turn up the volume all the way either.

British BBC shows are so very short in comparison to American ones.

It's honestly always a blessing. This show, as great as it is, does not need 10+ episodes per season

I really need to give this show a proper chance, I know I'd love it. I tried watching the first season ages ago when it first went to HBO but couldn't get into it. Tried again when it got to Netflix but same thing, I didn't get past the first 2-3 episodes.

The first time I tried there was no way I could understand what they were saying on my janky stream with no captions. The second time I promised myself that I would give it 3 episodes and I was hooked. The captions helped. I use captions on everything because I can't understand most actors and I choose to believe it is them not me. I think they all mumble and talk too fast. I am so excited for this new season. I thought it was over. /csb

yeah I think I need the captions for this show too. I can usually understand accents but the combo of the accents + the mumbling made it hard to follow. I tend to watch shows while knitting, so I'm not looking at the screen all the time but I'll give it another try with the captions on!

Haha! This comment reminds me that I always use the captions for the first three episodes or so til I get a handle on how they're talking, and then I can usually do without. But I typically forget about it when I first start watching the most recent season, and then I'm like "what?" every five seconds until it dawns on me to put on the captions. Maybe I'll remember from the start this year!

I’m looking forward to seeing this mess (my expectations are low, lol the writing has been subpar since S3 imo) + suffering from hair/clothes envy as usual whenever I watch this show lol 😩

Polly's look this season is so amazing! She is a fashion favorite for me. I feel you on the hair/clothes envy. I recently bought a vintage 30's evening dress but it sucks because I have absolutely nowhere to wear it.

The women look lovely. But my hair/outfit envy is purely focused on the men tbh 😆

Haha! I totally agree that the men look awesome too. I love those suits and the long coats they wear. I think Cillian is one of the few that looks really good with that haircut though.

The first episode was really hard for me to get into as well. I watched it and then didn't come back to the show for like 3 months. But by the third episode I was hooked. You just gotta get past the first one.

I've been watching it already and it's pretty good. Very different, but good. As usual I hate the villains they're fighting, but everyone's performances are so damn solid.
