Just a week after launching a campaign for re-election, a picture of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has surfaced with him in brownface (Which doesn't seem like a deep enough term for it, that's...insanely dark).
Taken while he was teaching in Vancouver, at the school’s annual dinner in 2001-2002 which had a costume theme of 'Arabian Nights', Trudeau's hands and face are totally darkened as he was dressed as a character from 'Aladdin'.
Present-Day Trudeau says He's sorry and asks Canadians for forgiveness. "I take responsibility for my decision to do that ... it was something that I didn't think was racist at the time, but now I recognize it was something racist to do."
