  • Kirsten Dunst was interviewed by Vogue some days after getting her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to talk about her career and new Showtime series "On Becoming a God in Central Florida".
  • Claims to feel freer as an actress after having a kid.
  • She and Sofia Coppola shopped around a "Faerie Tale Theater" with Shelley Duvall-type of show, but no one picked it up: "It was too expensive. We were like, “We have the best directors wanting to do their takes on fairy tales and have fun people be in them!”
  • When asked, Dunst says that she doesn't know what genre she wants to tackle next. The interviewer suggests a musical and she low key drops a blind item: "[Gasps] Are you kidding me? I honestly fought so hard for this one role-some other actress got it. But I wanted it so badly. It was a musical. You’re so right. I love musicals, so I would do that in a heartbeat."
  • About how the industry changed since the beginning of her career: "I think the movie star as an idea is kind of dead, in a way. I feel like I got to be a part of that in the ’90s. It felt like, Movies are important!-and now it feels like everything doesn’t matter."
  • Always dreamed on being in movies that would be at the Criterion Collection and tried to pick her projects wisely in order to keep doing it until she's an "old fart".
