Michael Fassbender is reportedly in talks to join Taika Waititi's next film, "Next Goal Wins," a sports dramedy about the national football team of American Samoa and the coach who attempts to transform them from notorious losers into a world cup qualifying team. Fassbender will play the role of the coach, Thomas Rongen. The film will be Waititi's second project with Fox Searchlight after "Jojo Rabbit," and will precede his Thor follow-up, "Love & Thunder."
