I don't think he, personally, is actually a white supremacist, it's all just eDgY jOkeS to him, but he would have to know how many of his fans actually are and if he cared at *all* about dispelling how terrible a look that is he'd be more proactive with acts like this kind of charity stuff. But he doesn't need to be because he has 100 million sycophants who'll worship him as long as he keeps being a piece of shit. at a certain point it doesn't matter if he is one or not, he's become a figurehead for them and won't speak out about it for fear of losing his coins.

You're probably right, but he's such an edgelord it's hard to tell if he believes in anything at all besides making money. I'm definitely not defending him don't get me wrong, I've just known guys like him who like being contrary just to 'trigger the snowflakes' (my dad sadly is one of them). The fact that he just went on making videos like nothing happened after the Christchurch massacre shows he very much didn't give a shit about it

It's not rude, you're right. It's a fucking horrible realisation to have about someone you grew up idolising (I was a total daddy's girl) and now I'm the complete polar opposite on the political spectrum. He wasn't like this when i was younger though, I don't know what happened but Fox News has a lot to answer for...

That is true, I also didn't want people thinking I was defending him too much. But I also wonder how much of it was genuine upset at what happened, and how much was worry about what it might do to his brand. Maybe that's uncharitable of me but he didn't really change much after a very minor mea culpa if you could even call it that (I don't watch him him but I know people who did, just for the LWIAY/you laugh you lose stuff which is just him getting clout for other people's work anyway)

100%. The real tell is he's way too deep in it now to do anything without losing a huge portion of his fan base and therefore income. I don't want to compare him to swift like that bc obviously they're nothing alike but she at least eventually spoke up and is being quite vocal now even though it must be affecting her bottom line.
