In addition to the Askars reveal there were a few other casting announcements yesterday.

• Whoopi Goldberg will be playing Mother Abigail.
• Jovan Adepo will play Larry Underwood.
• Owen Teague will play Harold Lauder.

I loved The Stand when I read it as a teenager. I don’t think it’s as scary as some of King’s stuff.

IMO, of course. The Stand is one of my favorites books. There’s some icky problematic shit sprinkled throughout(typical classic SK) but if you can get past that...
