After receiving the Golden Lion in Venice 'Joker' went on to receive more positive reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival.
The only way a brilliant dark 70s movie like Joker could get made by a studio today was to hitch a ride on established IP. This isn’t about DC. It’s about chaos. And Joaquin Phoenix deserves an Oscar run. So do the craftspeople who made this impeccably crafted movie. #TIFF2019

#Joker is one of the most unnerving movies I've seen in years. Joaquin Phoenix is astounding - the physicality of his work is especially impressive. It's very well made across the board but I also found it very upsetting & right now I can't shake that. Need to sit with this more.
