Yeah, HIMYM was bad, and it wasn't just because the ending I wanted wasn't the one I got. I get "life" isn't tv, I would have been ok with a lot of what they did if they hadn't "erased" the whole point of telling how he met the mother, instead it was "here's all the chicks I banged, then your mom, and now I wanna bang..." They could have had ended 10 minutes before the last scene and it would have been satisfying.

The mother is a woman named Tracy. They basically meet and have scenes together for like 2 episodes, then we find out she dies. Ted then goes on about Robin. The kids stop him and tell him that he's in love with Robin, go get her. Barney ends up having a daughter from a one night stand. Marshall and Lily have a couple kids, do a few years in Rome, then come back.

I could have handled them killing off Tracy just fine. It was that then they put him back with Robin, basically mid-story to his kids when talking about their mom dying 2 seconds before. The name of the show was "How I met your Mother." Not, "How I ended up with Robin."

Plus they spent so much time on how Ted/Robin didn't work and the entire last season was her wedding to Barney.
