There were some moments that really scared me. [Spoiler (click to open)] I don’t recall exactly the jump scare that literally made me jump but I know there was at least one. And the tension when Henry is trying to pull the balloon out and then a zombiefied Patrick came out made me sick. Young Bev’s interactions with her father somehow managed to be way more stomach churning this time around too. And her and Ben’s scenes w/the blood and the dirt at the end were really effective to me. but yeah I agree that it went for more weird-ha ha than weird-holy shit this is scary
