Desperate Housewives: The Tornado Episode.

Remember how good Desperate Housewives used to be with their event episodes? They totally hooked us in season 3 with the supermarket hostage situation so they had to step up their game. So holy shit, the Tornado was insane! Edie and Gaby fighting and Lynette thinking her family had died. It was so good and people were talking about it a lot before! Did it deliver? Hell yeah!

Game of Thrones - The Battle of Winterfell Episode
8x03 - The Long Night

Put your feelings about the series finale aside, this episode had been expected for a few years and it totally delivered, it managed to even be part of watercooler conversations with Avengers Endgame. The fight was something else and Arya fucking knocking it out of the part.

Flashforward - The Pilot Episode
1x01 - The Pilot

Before Flashforward premiered everyone though it was going to be the next Lost, people already had theories from the trailers, people thought it was somehow connected to Lost. People even had theories about it being connected to Cloverfield and Aladygma. Did it deliver? Ehh, no. but it gave us some nice John Cho moments.

Grey's Anatomy - The Ferry Episode
3x16 - Drowning in Dryland

We knew Greys had a big event coming and people were expecting something huge after previous year's sweeps with the bomb. Also casting for dead characters came up and people were wondering what the hell was going on and Meredith dying was such a shocker! people couldn't believe it! Did it deliver? Hell yeah. That week i was a mess.

Glee - The Cory Monteith Tribute Episode
5x03 - The Quarterback

When Cory monteith died through the summer, people were expecting to see how Glee will deal with the subject. It had one of the best tribute episodes we've seen but it was way til episode 4 because of logistics, so people were very anxious about it. Did it deliver? Yes. and very touchingly so.

Buffy, The Vampire Slayer - The Musical Episode
6x07 - Once More, With Feeling

Wait. what? They just brought Buffy back from the death? and they're making a musical episode? Buffy started a trend and now every single cult show seems to have done a musical episode but Buffy was the first to do so, and way before social networks, people were talking about it A LOT. Did it deliver? Fuck yeah. It's one of the best episodes of TV ever.

Heroes - The first finale Episode
1x23 - How to Stop an Exploding Man

So Heroes was the IT show from the season! So cool! it's like the X-men. And they did it somehow before the superhero trend, so a lot of people were expecting the season finale to be a huge game changer Avengers Endgame style with all the characters finally meeting to fight Sylar and stop Peter Petrelli from exploding. Did it deliver? Fuck no. That finale was the first of MANY dissappointments. We wanted a huge Avengers fight and we got a 30 second clip of Nikki hitting Sylar with a lamp.

Lost - The Episode after the first Flashforward
4x01 The Beginning of the End

The last season finale they showed us the first flashforward and people were SHOOK with the 'We have to go back' thing. And it lasted a good while so people had big hopes for the season 4 premiere. Did it deliver? I mean, it was ok, things got a lot better 4 episodes later in The constant.

Supernatural - The first Lucifer Episode
5x01 - Lucifer Rising

Supernatural had a very successful 4th season with a big creative resurgence due to the introduction of angels, but how will a low budget show introduce such a big thing as Lucifer? people were shocked when Lucifer actually managed to rise in the S4 finale so people had big hopes. Did it deliver? Yeah, it was a nice introduction, and open the door for a nice 5th season, Mark Pellegrino did a good job even for CW's low budget standards.

Doctor Who - The 50th anniversary Episode
7x16 - The Day of the Doctor

An episode that had been 50 years in the making. People had high hopes for it, and ONTD got crazy excited when David Tennant and Billie Piper were announced to return. Did it deliver? The last few minutes with all the doctors certainly did!

Friends - The final Episode
10x18 - The Last One, Part 2

52 million people watched the finale. Will Rachel get off the plane?! Is Ross finally gonna tell her he loves her? Are Chandler and Monica going to be parents? Is Phoebe gonna do something with Mike now that they're married? Is joey gonna get a spinoff? Did it deliver: Fuck yeah.
