I read this and everyone in it came off ready bad except for Julian Casablancas and Daniel and Sam from Interpol

I was amazed when Brandon Flowers said they studied what The Strokes did wrong so The Killers could succeed.

The whole book really filled in a bunch of stuff my 2000s high school self never fully knew.

I remember a post about that book and I think Nick Valensi was quoted saying how he didn't understand how the killers had more success/songs on the charts over the strokes because he didn't their songwriting was stronger the strokes writing.

I don't much about either band but just based off music the killers did have more poppier music/radio friendly songs than the strokes.

I remember hearing somebody told me on the mainstream pop radio stations, but never heard a stroke song played.
