i've been watching yuri!!! on ice for the third time and now every time i hear "history maker" my heart grows three sizes and i start tearing up; it's pavlovian.

i'm also watching dietland and will probably binge stylin' hollywood this weekend.

Dietland

I tried watching it, saw the first 1-2 ep I think, but I couldn't stick with it. Parts of it I liked, but it just didn't click with me.

i liked the first two episodes then episode 3 happened and it was like a completely different show then i remembered that marti noxon is the showrunner and survived to episode 4, which i really enjoyed.

i like the jennifer plot so far, but i'm not too invested in it because there's no way it leads to a satisfying conclusion. i really love the core of the show, plum/alicia learning to accept and love herself (ideally) and find happiness and validity within herself instead of external sources--or at the very least learn to stop hating herself.

Aw that Edie one looks like it'll make me cry. I knew the sweetest old lady who was a customer back when I worked in a restaurant, and she had such a mean, stingy husband. When he finally died, she really glowed. She was happily ordering anything she wanted on the menu and going on trips to visit friends and family, all activities her husband had forbidden her to do.

film wise: i'm sure i'll eventually see that new marco berger since i've seen all of his movies. i love that he reuses the same actors and i really want to see the linda ronstadt documentary.
