I watched the Boston production twice and saw it in Broadway this past summer during previews and I'm fuming at the OBCR of this song. They added some unnecessary reverb and it does not work at all. In the show it sounds a lot of passionate and raw and like this recording is super underwhelming.

YES. I was suprised how underwhelmed I was by the OCBR. Roxanne in the show gave me chills, watched it 4x this summer.

Did it change much from Boston? I thought the sets were outstanding, but I was pretty bummed by the musical arrangements, book and honestly, Karen Olivio's performance. I really love her, but she didn't seem to be comfortable or fit the role at all, and her singing didn't wow me like it has before. I can only attribute it to her not really feeling the role. A few of the supporting roles were also strangely wooden.
