Ed Sheeran won’t be receiving any revenues from one of his biggest hits, at least for now.
The U.K.’s High Court has suspended royalties for his 2017 hit “Shape of You” while the court decides in a case of copyright infringement against him.
The court cited claims from musician Sami Switch, who alleges that Sheeran copied his 2015 song “Oh Why”.
He also alleges that Sheeran has used music from other artists, TLC, Shaggy, and Jasmine Rae, in his songs.
Chokri claims he sent his song to people within Sheeran’s “circle,” hoping to work with the singer.
