Omg I didn't realize it until just now, but you're right. Probably because this cast is whiter than wonder bread.

I wonder if some exec was like "you can only have ONE of your fetishes in this film. Just ONE." And so he dialed it the fuck up on the foot fetish.

Eh, he traded in using the N word for all the Mexican jokes. He still got to be racist.

Would they have been considered right wing? I don't think being a white supremacist and being more on the left are mutually exclusive.

If we go with the idea that their idea of violence was more anarchy then they are extreme left wing on the political spectrum

Its well known the Manson family wanted to start a race war where in the end they would rule over all the black people because, and I quote, "they were incapable of doing so themselves."

but of course this is QT so all we get is shit.

I mean I don't remember thinking they came off like the hippy flower child images of the late 60s cause the spahn ranch scenes gave an aura that they were pretty suspect and dangerous if set off. Charles Manson is literally in the film for 3 minutes. Had they been featured more than yeah.

But yeah I've seen people saying they wished the racial aspect of Helter Skelter and the race war he envisioned to be acknowledged.
