D'avin babysitting is always fun. I'm glad Dutch-Johnny resolved their issues, though I'm kinda surprised it isn't about him maybe having confused feelings about Dutch, but rather about wanting a normal life, which would break up platonic life partners. I dunno how I feel about that, I guess that would be an ending for the series. Also, I think it's kinda late in the game to give Johnny a love interest (and would prefer them bring back Clara) but if they went for Johnny/Warden, I wouldn't be mad.
Gared is an idiot, ugh.
Man it was weird seeing Khlyen really mourn there in the end, human!Khlyen is an interesting animal, compared to Hullen!Khlyen. Speaking of...
Aneela is still Hullen! Interesting. Man I loved Delle Seyah telling Aneela she's still a terrible person, those two were made for each other. Putting the kid in the cube till it's all over is the smart play.
I mean, Gared's lie was being in an uphappy relationship, having an affair and being a fugitive, I dunno if it's so much the lie as it is wanting him and Pree to get out and be safe, because he thinks they can't win. Either way, ugh.
Yes his life is a fugitive but it didn't show it as sad because he was not seriously hunted. I think he rather have that than relive everything they went through and now are facing an undefeated enemy and I'm sure he worries for Pree. I meant he buys into the lie of Pree being safe and they're being safe as long as they're mind controlled because the alternative of waking up is they might die.
It's sad that the end shows him being in the shower, willingly letting himself be mindswipe.
I was more thinking it sad that he's with someone he doesn't love but doesn't have the guts to leave to live his true life. But you're right, it wasn't until D'avin showed up looking for Jaq that him being a fugitive really impacted his life.
' I meant he buys into the lie of Pree being safe and they're being safe as long as they're mind controlled because the alternative of waking up is they might die. '
True. It’s probably also the fact that Pree lied to him when he hates when Gares lies. Maybe if the gang had brought Gared in and also mentioned in about 20 days Westerly would be unlivable due to terraforming, he would have thought twice about being mindwiped and going back to that life.

Khylen is interesting as always and I really dislike gared but I'm thinking they're making it like Johnny where he takes the lie if they can be happy.
