So before she was silent just to keep making money and now she’s speaking out just to make money? Mmkay.

I am not entirely sure why it is so difficult to grasp that she made money before being called out on her shit and when it looked like her bottom line was going to be affected she chose to suddenly “speak out” despite her having a history of this shit but all right. Before she was called out for being silent when white supremacists were using her as their mascot, she was using superficial feminism as a way to make coin, then was conveniently silent when trump became president and attacks against women’s rights ramped up. Then she was very publicly used as a mascot for white supremacy. She got called out for her silence and fake politics and rather than address it, chose to sue a nobody blog for pointing it out, knowing full well her fanbase had a lot of republican white people. Once she started getting bad press and it looked like it was going to affect her bottom line and it no longer seemed that she could retain her republican fanbase with her more progressive ones, all of a sudden she adds glaad to a song that no one would know
