The critically-acclaimed thriller/horror/comedy 'Ready or Not' started off this weekend's box office much earlier this week, bringing in $2M on Tuesday night (as it was released on Wednesday), and currently has no projected BO for the weekend (but it had a $6 million budget so it should do fine for Fox Searchlight).

Now, the only big release for Friday was the unnecessary sequel 'Angel Has Fallen', which brought in $1.5M on Thursday night, and is expected to make $12 million to $16 million over the weekend (on a $80 million budget yikes).

Some Christian movie 'Overcomer' also came out this weekend and made $775,000 on Thursday. It's such a bleak August that even pundits can't work out what will top the box office (or they don't care given the choices). Just wait for 'It 2' in a couple of weeks, I guess.
