blake is still doing movies? scarjo's movies have been bombing left and right since people realized she's an entitled rich white woman who takes roles from minorities.

I remember Joss Whedon making some snide remark about not letting her off easy just because she was pregnant. He's such a douche.

well for joss the alternative is to just fire his pregnant castmembers, so i guess this was a step up

Anne Hathaway, Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Nathalie Portman, Zoe Saldana, Angelina Jolie, Kristen Bell, Kerry Washington.
Not to dismiss Hollywood sexism, but there are many examples of actresses who are moms and still have a career.

To be fair, Nicole and Angelina adopted when they were hot commodities, before having bio children.

They still have a solid career post pregnancies

That's true. But I suspect that already having multiple children before and multiple celebrity marriages that they could cash in on also played a huge role.

there are some, but the ones that come to mind you don't immediately associate with being mothers: nicole kidman being one and other people mentioned julianne moore, meryl streep, and amy adams, but these women are outliers that don't represent the majority, especially because they were a-list before having their children.

I mentioned a few of them, but I think that's it. It's more about how established these actresses are. Actresses with 10-20 years of success will still have Hollywood waiting for them. The rest, not so much because they are replaceable.

Annette Benning, Naomi Watts, Keira Knightly, Jennifer Hudson, Cate Blanchett, Glenn Close, Melissa McCarthy, Laura Dern, Isabelle Huppert, Michelle Williams, Carey Mulligan, Kate Winslet, Julianne Moore, Helena Bonham Carter, Emma Thompson, Julia Roberts, Marion Cotillard, Jane Fonda and many more.

I don't know what Lea's been smoking, but she needs to put down the pipe.

I think it depends on where you're at in your career. And the majority fo the women you mentioned, only a few are top billing or main actress.
