Can I 100% get what he's saying but also think that it's just a movie and it's fiction? The whole story is kind of ridiculous. It's not real life and sometimes I wish people would just leave it at that. I tried not to read too much into it as a historical reference or whatever.

Why did Tarantino use Bruce Lee's name? People who have never heard of Bruce Lee and know he's a real person are going to believe it's true. It was a fucked-up racist thing to do and I hope more voices speak out and then hopefully no award noms for him.

mte, I remember reading a completely different script for this movie where he played a much larger part, but ig that was changed. why wasn't he just a fictional actor like the two leads?

It IS fiction. It's fiction that he created, which means he could have chosen to create it without distorting a real, nonfictional human being's character. And without resorting to racist stereotypes.
