The crap they said at SDCC about why they did what they did just made me angry and want to cry (not out of anger, but man did they really pull at mine and a lot of people’s heartstrings). And they also didn’t bring him back for a farewell!
How the only thing we all have in common is that at the end of the panel, we are all one hour closer to death. It’s inevitable and a part of life. They’ve always written about real topics on the show, and since death is one of those things, they had to do it.
They explained that [Spoiler (click to open)]Q wasn’t able to advocate for himself in the beginning and grew to advocate for himself AND his friends in the end, and... I guess it made them pick him to be the one they offed? Due to his development? They didn’t even address how they queerbaited and put him back with Alison for two seconds or anything
I really wished they brought him back one last time tbhThe discussion then shifted p quickly - I think it was to fan questions. A mental health question came up and everyone talked about their struggles and were near tears talking about their own experiences (either going into as much detail as they wanted or skimming the surface)?? I don’t remember the exact transition. It was a long, 10 hr day of camping out that I’ll never do for that show again (and it
( ... )
i think it's such a copout to pull the, "everyone dies and we wanted to be real," schtick, especially considering the source material and the fact that q was suicidal.
Saturday’s at SDCC are the most exhausting for me since it’s spent watching a ton of panels I don’t care about just to see the magicians. It wasn’t that bad this year, though! I just won’t do it again for this show.
I totally agree with you, too. I don’t like what they’ve done, and how quickly they managed to ruin the show

conventions sound exhausting, honestly.
