it's always baffling to see film buffs praising her because I don't understand what they're seeing that I'm not. the best thing I can usually say about her performance is that she was decent, for her.

They've had two test screenings and the first one didn't go well. Overall the movie was slow and the ending confusing. They did some editing and had a second test which didn't go a lot better. It is what it is.

The fact that it's screening out of competition at Venice is telling.
