I saw Stuber earlier this week-- it was pretty harmless and funny. [Spoiler (click to open)]Didn't know Karen Gillan was in it

Had to turn off The Great Hack about halfway through bc I was getting sleepy and I wanted to pay attention, so I'm looking forward to finishing that later.

The documentary General Magic that I learned about from an earlier indie movie post (thanks OP) but never got to see in theatres is now on Showtime Anytime so I'm gonna watch that next.

I'm low key excited to see QT's new movie bc I got tickets to see it at the New Bev in a couple weeks and I've never been!

Ahh, that's cool! I've been to the New Bev before, but not since the remodel, I should check it out again soon. Arclight did a QT retrospective last weekend, so I went to see Kill Bill, and the 35mm print they had was beat to hell and they had issues projecting it.

My husband has been wanting to see the new Spider Man movie so I think we’ll do that.

Y'all have to stop blowing up my inbox... I can't keep up!

Ok, so summer is kind of slow for notable indies. But fall is on the way, and hopefully that will lead to some more interesting entries here.

Watched The VVitch earlier this week and enjoyed it, and finished up Chernobyl last night. I'm thinking we'll see a movie tonight - either go to see Midsommar or The Farewell, or find something on one of the 100 streaming services we have - and then start Fleabag this weekend.

That's a great line up. Chernobyl was fantastic.

Midsommar didn't come here. That's the problem with Indies. If you don't live in a major city, you don't even get a chance to see them until they hit streaming platforms.

I watched into the spiderverse yesterday and that was pretty amazing, I admit. The animation felt pretty unique, and I'm glad to take a break from cats/lion king bad animation hell.

I'm also trying to finish up burning bc I almost fell asleep watching it a couple days ago. I also started queen of the south and like it well enough! though I might take a break and watch fleabag, finally.
