Weirdly, the Academy has completely ignored Hanks for almost the last two decades, despite him doing some of his best work in that period. He hasn't been nominated since Castaway in 2000.

There's something weird about Tom Hanks in this where you could change the music and I could see it being a horror movie about a serial killer.

Can't wait for this! There's such a relaxation and genuine kindness to Tom Hanks that is perfect for this role. I can tell he studied so much of Fred's mannerisms from the trailer alone!
