I’m still surprised they haven’t made a “friends-the next generation!” Or something

And before people reply to me with new girl, happy endings, etc. I specifically mean a reboot of friends with a younger cast

The triples are 21 and Ben is 25? That would be great but people are still so obsessed with the original cast I don't think it would take.

I think the first episode would have huge numbers and then quickly fall off lol

Would Melrose Place/A Different World/Facts of Life be considered revivals when they didn't change the name just went in a different route from their first seasons?

I considered those 3 actual reboots.

I just always called them spin-offs, lol. They typically started with a backdoor pilot on another series where the first show crossed-over to the spin-off. So for example, the pilot for The Facts of Life is technically an episode Different Strokes. The characters from Different Strokes are introduced to the characters who would be the main cast for The Facts of Life, with Mrs. Garret from Different Strokes being the link between the two shows. It was a really common way to test new shows before really committing to a new series, it happened alot during the 70s/80s.

The original Hills has been added to Amazon Prime and the music really made a lot of the show. All of the music has been replaced and it feels....off.

The scene where Lauren and Whitney is headed to Paris, which had Pocketful of Sunshine originally, is replaced with some alt-rock song and the scene is so clunky.

They did that with Laguna beach reruns and it totally felt off too. It ruined the nostalgia factor when they did things like edit out the girls singing Michelle branch after prom and being clearly drunk/sad.

Though negl I did find it amusing that they replaced a few songs with old something corporate and now Lauren is married to Will.
