a little OT but I just saw that the dog rates guy has his own signing booth at SDCC this year. I can't quite put my finger on why that's so weird to me but I think it's because like, his account has nothing to do with entertainment media, like tv/movies/games, etc?? he's just a guy with (albeit great & mega-popular) twitter & IG accts. makes me wonder if we're going to start seeing just straight-up youtube celebs featured at SDCC soon.
yeah definitely, especially since his accounts aren't even about him specifically. imagine telling someone who only casually paid attention to dog rates that you got [inset guy's name here's] signature at SDCC, they'd be like who?? though I guess that could be said for a lot of what passes as youtube famous these days too lmao
