Instagram is hiding likes and view count for public viewing

We want your friends to focus on the photos and videos you share, not how many likes they get. You can still see your own likes by tapping on the list of people who've liked it, but your friends will not be able to see how many likes your post has received.

Does she delete and then post again? I've had to unfollow people bc they're always posting, deleting when it doesn't get enough likes, and then reposting to hopefully get more.

Apparently the best time to post is around 8pm. There are other peak times but I don’t care enough to do snooping

I think they assume more people might see it at another time.

Some times are better to post than others so maybe that?

I think that since the algorithm changed to not be chronological, instagram somewhat prioritizes posts by engagement so if your post doesn't start getting likes in the first few minutes, less people will see it.

I know a guy who claims there are certain times of day to post to get the most likes, and if he doesn't get a lot of likes, he'll delete and post it at a more popular time of day.

I know someone that does this. She also posts the same pic 3 times, like some influencers and celebs do for whatever reason. She never gets more than 10 likes, so idk wtf she thinks she's doing with any of this.
