It's been like six years since I read this book but having to physically resist skipping all of the chapters from adult Bill's POV because he was so fucking annoying and pretentious lmao I struggled with the Bev chapters too but that's mostly because Stephen King is absolutely horrible at writing the female perspective and jesus christ so much nipple talk... women do not sit around thinking about their nipples my dude! lmao

same! i love this book with all my heart but SK totally lost beverly in the adult parts, like, she's literally just sitting on the floor at the end and cries (i mean, probably what i would've done in her situation, but she used to be such a badass!), she isn't even helping with anything and bill is just...i never cared for kid!bill all that much but i liked him enough to empathize. when he's an adult tho, nope.

I thought he was okay in Wanted, which is from a long time ago. It was never Sophie Turner levels of awful. So it's either he got worse or my non-American ears can't tell apart good and bad American accents lol.

For me it's similar to Ewan McGregor where the accent is... fine. Like it's too flat and a little awkward, but it's more the issue that it seems to distract them from doing a full performance and it takes me out of the story.
