Why do people keep saying this? You're clowning your own team. We'll never know if the men's team will get as many viewers or even more unless they get around to making the final. Honestly, right now, we have to settle for them qualifying.

It’s not my team LOL

My point is more that this isn’t a real representation of anything because the US are in the final. Also the US definitely aren’t the only viewing figures that matter when it comes to the World Cup. Especially considering most Americans don’t give a fuck about football.

Oh I see. I just think the argument is US Soccer should pay the USWNT equal to or more than the USMNT. I don't know why we need to bring in the world into this. The world doesn't affect what US Soccer chooses to do. The viewership in the US is the only thing that matters in this particular case.

I'm by no means a sports person but watching women play sports is legitimately way more interesting and engaging than mens sports tbh i can't make it through a game of mens rugby but watching women play it just sucks me right in straight away. Growing up with all that "women cant do this women aren't good at that" sports shit and seeing them get into it and get dirty and tough is sooo much more fun to watch.

I get emotional watching it at times.

I’m Aussie and grew up watching rugby league. Love my team, love my sport

State of Origin is the PINNACLE of the sport.

Last year they ran the women’s SoO. And this year it was on a Friday night. And I watched it and started sobbing when my FB feed was lit upwith people talking about the game and I was watching these amazing women play league in MY TEAMS COLOURS.

It’s not quite at the men’s level yet (the women play one game. The men’s is best of 3. The women are clear they want to work up to it. The men are obviously professional athletes. Most of the women had to take time off from their actual work) but they’re working towards it.

And it was amazing. I don’t have a jersey currently but once I’ve got the money I’ll be buying the women’s stripe

Not surprising that Americans prefer to watch a final their team is actually playing in.
