JUST IN: Turns out, @scooterbraun's Ithaca Holdings, which recently bought Big Machine Records, has CARLYLE GROUP as a SHAREHOLDER.

Carlyle Group is notorious for funding genocide in Yemen, among several other atrocities to humanity.

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with that. That just felt like friends drifting apart especially when she started dating Calvin.

It's a private equity firm that's worth hundreds of billions of dollars. You don't get to be that big without getting a chunk of pretty much any company you can get your hands on. They're also invested in companies like Dunkin Donuts and Dr. Pepper.

It’s not just that though, they’ve clearly become very close due to the business connections. Scooter and his wife were at Karlie’s second wedding, which Taylor didn’t attend, he manages Karlie now and Yael’s “you pick friends and let them wither” dig seems like she was talking about T and K. I can see someone as vindictive as Taylor dropping a friend for “allying” themselves to people she hates. I mean at the end we’re all just nobodies on the internet at 2 am speculating about why some rich white people arent bros anymore lmfao what a life

Yeah, but that doesn't have anything to do with this other equity firm. Karlie and her Kushner husband are definitely friends with Scooter and his wife at this point, but that doesn't seem to have really happened until well after she and Taylor stopped hanging out much and the squad kind of fell apart.
