gasp!!!

I’ve never watched the show but I love that we now live in a world where shows with too much potential can get saved. I feel like the universe needs a show like ODAAT right now. Amazing news!!! I’m giddy for y’all!

mte

like honestly in this world we're living in where there are hundreds of shows on a RIDICULOUS amount of platforms there's no excuse for a show like odaat to not go on. i'm glad they found a place for it

So exciting! Is this the first show that debuted on streaming to be saved by cable? I read the THR article and Norman Lear talked about how amazing it was that he's 96 and got to see something like this happen to one of his shows. I really hope it gets the splashy ad campaign it deserves for its comeback

I thought Netflix wasn’t letting anyone pick it up or is that another show?

there was a clause that it couldn't go to another streaming service for 3 years

They only said a streaming service (Hulu, Amazon Prime, CBS All Access) couldn't pick it up but it was up for any actual TV station that wanted it. So CBS could pick it up as long as it wasn't exclusive to their streaming service and I said months ago they should pick it up and air it on CBS.

CBS was interested in picking the show up for its streaming service (CBS All Access) but Netflix put a clause in the contract that blocked Sony (the studio that makes the show) from selling the show to another streaming service for several years. But there was no clause that meant it couldn't move to a cable network like Pop or reruns being shown on CBS

Yay! They should have done this from the beginning instead of complaining they could only air it on TV, not their streaming service.

I have no idea what Pop is, but I will watch if it is on actual CBS.
