Kevin talks about his new Showtime series City on the Hill where his character is problematic but 3-dimensional, and nothing like him irl. They also discuss his war on plastic (trying to cut back on plastic usage), and they showcase a Canada store that puts shameful remarks on their plastic bags (lol of course Canada). Some throwback photos of him and Kyra Sedgwick, a cute but corny duet video, his filmography. /He doesn't discuss his remarkably great middle-age-guy hair, which looks a lot better irl vs his character on this new show./

Joy wants people to stop channeling their inner Kardashian by going to a nuclear fallout area to take selfies. Sunny points out there is still a danger of radiation poisoning. Ana talks about it being a catalyst to bringing down the Soviet Union. Me-again blah blah. The panel generally agrees that visiting these types of places for their place in history is different from exploiting it for social media photos.

A valedictorian served all the teas against her teachers and staff at school in her speech. Hint, one was drunk a lot. It’s hilarious. Ana talks about privilege (lol @ shade). Sunny says some similar stuff.

The panel discusses which political party is more forgiving after a Harvard University professor said that Republicans are more likely to forgive those within their ranks. Joy brings up Tr/mp still supporting [alleged] pedo-Roy Moore, lists some other questionable endorsements. Ana talks about it being specific to Tr/mp, whereas before (she says) the GOP and Dems held their parties equally accountable. Sunny also emphasizes the ride or die Tr/mp supporters. Joy says she can forgive the Tr/mp voter but not Tr/mp himself (um, No). Me-again says blah blah.

Bonus June Democrat Two Night Debate Groupings

Candidates had to receive a minimum 1% across three nationally recognized polls OR at least 65,000 unique donors with a minimum of 200 different donors across 20 states. Names for each night were drawn from a hat by a DNC official, with a rep from each campaign present to witness the drawing.

Didn't make the debate: Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, Miramar Mayor Wayne Messam, and former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel.

The next debate (September) increases the required threshold:
First, the polling threshold for inclusion will be raised to 2%, in at least four polls between June 28 and August 28. Second, candidates would also need 130,000 unique donors, with at least 400 donors each in 20 states. This means candidates have to achieve both requirements, not one or the other.

#DemDebate stage Night 2: June 27

1. Sen. Sanders
2. Sen. Harris
3. Former VP Biden
4. Mayor Buttigieg
5. Sen. Bennet
6. Ms. Marianne Williamson
7. Rep. Swalwell
8. Sen. Gillibrand
9. Mr. Andrew Yang
10. Gov. Hickenlooperhttps://t.co/dpGn5uP65N

[This was from yesterday but the video hadn’t been uploaded to YouTube when I made the post]
Betheny had a meltdown, they show a clip, the panel discusses it. Joy thinks RHONY makes The View look civilized (lol). Me-again makes it about her (no, you don’t say!?). Sunny says her earpiece is saying Shhh (bloop), but says Betheny yelled at Sunny’s child (7 yrs old) on the beach in the middle of the afternoon. More Me-again blah blah.

Me-again spotlights Tammy Smith, the first openly gay US General. See here for her career accolades. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tammy_Smith

On a personal level, Smith married Tracey Hepner on 31 March 2012, in a ceremony at the Jefferson Memorial in Washington, D.C. The ceremony was officiated by a military chaplain. The District of Columbia began recognizing same-sex marriages in 2010, but because Smith was in the army she could not enter into a marriage until after Don't ask, don't tell was repealed. She is the first openly gay U.S. flag officer to come out while serving since the repeal of the policy. Her wife, Hepner, co-founded the Military Partners and Families Coalition, a national military family organization that provides support, education, resources and advocacy for lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender military partners and their families. On 11 February 2013, Hepner was announced as a personal guest of First Lady Michelle Obama for the 2013 State of the Union Address.
