It's awful he was killed so young

but tbh I don't think he did enough in his life to warrent a film for a worldwide audience idk this probably makes me a bad person

I feel like these days we are starting to over idolize the lives of people who die young

I think he did honestly. He had been acting since he was a child so he was in the industry for awhile. Everybody who worked with him said he was incredible and sweet. His death was so unique and unexpected that nobody got closure. This feels like a fitting way to give them that peace.

I can agree with the below point but him being sweet and all that doesn't make him special. I do agree with his death being a fluke and though i don't really care about the fans. If its the parents wishes then I respect that.

I don't think he's really been put in an "idolizing" position.

People will glamorize anything even if you notice it or not

Where are you noticing it?

The fact of the matter of his death people feel more involved then usual its an everyday thing we use constantly that is suppose to be safe so are fears are projected 10x more onto the issue. It's not so much idolization as curiosity/borderline obsession and fear of not wanting it to happen to them so I guess its not really idolization.

I agree with everything folks said in the replies to your comment. Also, "starting to idolize the lives of people who die young"? That's literally always been the case lol. (See: everyone from Tutankhamen to River Phoenix.)
