- A student at a West Virgina High School thought that the speech at her graduation, given by the school's principal sounded familiar. She went online and saw it seemed to match word by word Ashton kutchers 2013 Teen choice awards speech.
- Kutcher was recieving the ultimate choice award in 2013 where in part Kutcher said he had 3 things he wanted to speak about, which were about opportunity, about being sexy , and about living life.
-Comparing the two, it seems the principal changed being sexy to being intriguing.
- When asked for a statement, the principal said this" As a proud father and a man of faith, I want to sincerely apologize to those I obviously offended". " It was never my intent to take credit for what I said".
- No word if the student accepted the apology.

Update:The student alleges that the principal used a third party to warn her that her video infringes on the copyright of the company that produced the graduation video.
- The student , 18 year old Abby Smith issued a statement saying in part:" I have always been someone who believes that accountability and honesty are important. I do not want anyone to think I've done what I've done to gain attention or notoriety. This was done to uphold standards and accountability at all levels. I will never stop fighting for what I believe in.
