May 28, 2019 In crazy sports/compulsive liar news, in March 2018 the general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers, Rob Pelinka, told the team a story about admitted rapist Kobe Bryant having dinner with Heath Ledger to learn how he "locks in" for a role and used that in his game. Except that Pelinka claims Kobe did this after seeing Ledger's portrayal of The Joker in "The Dark Knight," which was released six months after Ledger died. Christopher Nolan has said that the movie was still being edited when Ledger died and he had only seen the opening bank robbery sequence, so no, Kobe did not have special celebrity access to an early version.
