This interview was really good mostly for the stuff people aren't talking about like the racism she and her family faced, cutting her ex's name off her body after their abusive relationship, and the really sad part about her Dad dying.

Glad Mel and Geri seem to be getting along again on tour after this revelation kind of pissed her off because she thinks she's the queen of england now or whatever.

Geri admitted to fucking a famous woman on Howard Stern in 2001. The only revelation (which was long rumored) was that it was Mel which Mel now confirmed.

I can see why she'd be annoyed but I'm glad she's seemingly gotten over it since they've been friends for 25 years.

Geri confirming something just about herself while keeping Mel anonymous 20 years ago is hardly the same thing as Mel naming names and bringing it up without Geri’s consent nearly 20 years later - especially when Geri has a school age child to be affected by the publicity.

The "school aged children" thing (of which she has one - the other isn't) seems kind of homophobic. Geri's current husband cheated on his pregnant fiance with her and it was all over the rag mags when her daughter was in school too. Like I said, I think she can certainly be annoyed and a little mad but I wouldn't throw away a 25 year friendship over it. This is hardly the worst or most scandalous thing that came out about her.

I wouldn’t throw away their friendship over it either, being indiscreet isn’t OMG the worst thing anybody could do. Even so, what Geri has said or done off her own back (whatever the publicity consequences) isn’t the same as anyone else doing it for her.

On the school age thing, now you mention it I can see how it’d read that way. There are a lot of people who apply a homophobic double standard suggesting that any public hint of a parent’s gay or bi status will get kids bullied. What I meant was that parental sex stories of any flavour may well prompt some classmates to be assholes, but should’ve been clearer
