So many things for us to do, but there's now more time.
After the internet at large said "This ain't it." to Sonic's design in the trailer, and the director swore to revamp the Blue Blur, seems like the titular character's teeth are adding more time to the proceedure.

The new release date is Valentine's Day, 2020. That's one week after Sony's Peter Rabbit 2, Warner Bros. Birds of Prey, the same weekend as a now-untitled Disney live action movie, and a week before Sony's Bloodshot. OP is going to be spending a lot of money that month at the movies.
So you can take the love of your life, be it a human or hedgehog, to the film.
