didn't someone say in the other post that you could bring your visa and old/new passports to brazil and they'd still be valid?

meaning she would have been fine if she just left it alone lol

Yep. If she would have presented both, she would have been fine. She played herself when she was legally able to all along.

yes i'm p sure you can do that anywhere, last time i traveled to america my valid visa was on my expired passport so i had to bring both. it never occurred to me that taking out your visa and sticking it on a diff passport was even an option lol it just feels like common sense to me

Yup! That's what you're supposed to do in 99.99999999% of the cases. When you renew your passport, you're usually asked if you have a valid visa in the old one, so that nothing is stamped/punched through the middle of the passport, invalidating the visa.

Pasting things into a new passport == suspicious looking mofo.

I can't believe they didn't send her ass back.

This is the same for Australia. Mum said once she had a new passport but the Australian Visa was in the old one and was just told to bring both.
