Zuko is a great example of a redemption arc.

The Last Airbender had INCREDIBLE character arcs for each and every single character.

My fave is Azulas. I get chills thinking about it.

azula's arc was a really great example of showing a character descend into madness and becoming a true villain, something d&d also failed to do. seriously they need to watch atla and take several notes.

ABSOLUTELY. If we're talking about a mad queen, Azula's arc is a fucking MASTER CLASS in how to do it.

No way. Toph may have been the best character, but she was a flat character. It wouldn't be a real problem were she not one of the main characters.

Avatar had plenty of problems with characterization and plotting.

It's crazy how DnD tried to hit so many of the same beats from Last Airbender in Game of Thrones and failed at every last one of them.

ATLA had such a satisfying ending and good character arcs. D&D could never.

I always think of Zuko more as a recovery arc than a redemption arc.

I mean, it serves as both. It's his own personal recovery as well as his redemption in the eyes of those he's wronged.

now i wish GoT was written by the writers of last airbender or at the very least..a popular anime franchise writer. even for the filler episodes.
