im so glad i had the sense to talk to myself about what i wanted in life before i went to school for a hobby that would force me to work at home at all hours. 3 days a week gives me so much needed sleep.

i used to want to be a graphic design artist, and ive made a couple of short films and i wouldve adored to go to art or film school, theyre truly the loves of my life. but the world does not need another artist and i dont need the hassle of being my own unpaid agent and making logos for big corp. now i take care of kids in daycare, change nappies and play with them, just like my other two friends who went to art school, except i didnt even need any higher education for this shit because the field is painfully understaffed, i just make money.

poor people, even children in low income families, sleep less than the wealthy. the implication that the wealthy are up at 4am while poor folk are just sleeping in until noon is grotesque, steve harvey is dumb, and i hope they replace him on family feud with a robot

I know a single mom, first-gen immigrant with no other family here to back her up, came to this country not knowing that she was pregnant, and worked 3 jobs her whole life (even now when she’s pushing 60) cleaning houses and/or taking care of older people or kids. she works long hours and def don’t get 8 hours of sleep. where are her coins, steve???
