- Leighton Meester's real-life husband Adam Brody will appear in the season finale as Derek, the father of her character's son.
- There will be flashbacks. “We filmed on Sunset Boulevard at night, and I was like, ‘Man, we really are this metal couple,’” Meester recalls. “We were all made up, and we had our hair all wild. We actually drove from the first location in bumper-to-bumper rush-hour traffic together, and I was like, ‘I wonder if people see us in our car and are thinking we’re just this actual rocker-like goth couple.”
- On working with her husband: “Just being around Adam, and being on set with him, it’s fun. It’s comfortable. He’s really funny, and I enjoy everything I do with him. Working with him is just the icing on the cake.”
