So many shows cancelled with no conclusion. At some point, viewers are going to stop bothering to invest their attention in new Netflix Originals. Surely they realize that?

It’s actually baffling that Netflix doesn’t give more of its shows like this final seasons considering how many shows they’ve bought after cancelation from regular networks to......give final seasons to????

I read some article recently that if they let their shows go beyond three seasons, the people involved with the show get a lot of bonuses. So Netflix is content to let a lot of their originals end with three seasons because they don't want to pay for the success. it's definitely made me be more hesitant about Netflix originals.

We will see with how far that one dumb suicide show they have going on bc they keep renewing it for some reason

But if that’s also the case then they can at least start to wrap it up in s3?? Or even give it a retitle or something. But also wasn’t degrassi first class on there longer than 3 seasons? And now they haven’t canceled or renewed it

here's the article: https://deadline.com/2019/03/netflix-tv-series-cancellations-strategy-one-day-at-a-time-1202576297/

ever since reading it I've been very meh. I know that for example The Crown is slated to keep going until the story is done, and it probably will since it's like netflix's best awards bait. but unless it's a major prestige show, it doesn't look good.

Right? I mean, it's fine if they don't want to give their shows a lot of seasons. I personally think that many shows turn to shit after a while so it might be for the best. But can they at least give these shows a final season? Let these shows die with dignity! They definitively can afford that. WE pay more money for that!

Seriously. If I wasn’t sharing my Netflix account with 3 other people, I’d cancel in protest.

This crossed my mind earlier too. I'm gonna stop watching their shows if they keep canceling themmmmm.

Honestly they’re only shooting themselves in the foot because I was planning on checking Santa Clarita Diet out after season 3 seemed to get really great reviews, but hearing that it has been cancelled on a cliffhanger has just put me off even starting it. And their originals are going to be on their platform forever, so those are the shows that they should be spending and investing on to make sure that they get good conclusions, not paying out millions to temporarily keep Friends for another year

This! It's part of the reason I gave up on commercial TV (apart from annoying commercials, of course). Who wants to invest their time watching a show each week, only for it to get cancelled randomly?

And now Netflix lets us watch entire seasons in one go...and the random cancellations still happen!

They gave Sense8 a movie ending. Maybe they'll do that with SCD?
