Nicolette Sheridan chose to leave CW's Dynasty reboot to be with her ailing mother. The show decided to recast her by having Alexis need reconstructive surgery after her son Adam held her face down in the fireplace.
Click to viewThe new Alexis is Elizabeth Gillies, the same actress who plays Alexis's daughter Fallon. Adam had previously noted how much Alexis looked like Fallon when she was younger, and told the doctors that she wanted to shave off a few years when they reconstructed her face.
