So it actually took me 4 hours to get through the last episode. Not because i didn’t like it, but it was kind of difficult for me to watch since i was nervous it would trigger me.

Without going into spoilers (or getting too personal), there is a scene near the end that is not graphic or explicit but makes it clear that Jane is a CSA survivor. I thought the scene was well done, but it ultimately DID trigger me. Which was actually good b/c i’m doing trauma recovery in therapy right now and was given homework to talk about how my assault changed my worldview and how i think about myself so... i kind of dove right into that homework instead of procrastinating too much

I wrote this entry before I got to that part. I still think it’s worth giving a shot if CSA or sexual assault is a trigger for you because it is not graphic or explicit though it is incredibly emotionally powerful and evocative. It was kind of cathartic for me to watch in a way. But just be mindful if you want to avoid potential triggers. If you message me, I can look up the time stamp on when you might want to stop watching and can try to describe important plot points you might miss if you choose to skip over it but want to watch the rest of the season. Or i can write it right hear behind a spoiler cut.
