I mean like yeah but it's not like this is bad? She gets to make a fun movie with a bunch of women she's been friends with for over a decade. Sounds like a blast.

My main issue with this is how painfully white it looks. I'd much rather see a Jackée Harry, Erika Alexander, Mo'Nique, Tracee Ellis Ross, Regina Hall centered movie in the vein of this. I'm tired of these beige stories even if they're about women over 40.

My main issue with this is how painfully white it looks. - I feel like painfully white is her comfort zone tbh. Do we ever see Maya with black people?!

She’s way overdue for a reneasaince. But her work in Big Mouth is beloved and her Amazon show “Forever” got stellar reviews even though no one saw it. I feel like she just needs that one project for more people to put her on the same level as Tina and Amy

Haven't seen 'Big Mouth', but I loved Maya in 'Forever'. Out of the SNL ladies of that period she remains the absolute best and most underappreciated.
