  • Jim Jarmusch's new zombie flick The Dead Don't Die is set to open this year's Cannes Film Festival on May 14th. The film will open on the same date in France, and Focus Features will release it in the US exactly one month later on June 14th.
  • The Dead Don't Die stars Bill Murray, Adam Driver, Tilda Swinton, Selena Gomez, Steve Buscemi, Rosie Perez, Danny Glover, Iggy Pop, Tom Waits, and the perpetually creepy Caleb Landry Jones.
  • Driver, who is currently starring on Broadway in Burn This, will be attending Cannes to promote this film - the show's performances on May 14th and 15th have been cancelled in order for him to do so.
  • Jarmusch has a long relationship with Cannes, going all the way back to 1984 when his film Stranger than Paradise won the Camera d'Or.
  • Other films rumored for Cannes: Pain and Glory, Rocketman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. But no other films have yet been confirmed. The full lineup is set to be announced on April 18th.
