While at a con in Vegas yesterday, J2 explained (at the 29:23 mark) the CW didn't make the decision to end the show - it was a "community decision", one they've thought about a lot and talked about with each other, the cast, and crew. As expected, they also said they want to spend more time with their families. And this is the first time they want to take part in the creative decisions of next season - they've been invited to storyboard with the writers.
