When I put liquid liner on my top lid I never look effortless and cute like she does in that gif. Like I know it takes practice but I am still at the level of a toddler trying to color inside the lines and failing

I heard her Velvet lipsticks were amazing. I really want Velvet Morning, but I feel like orange-reds don't look as good on me as they do with someone with pale skin or much darker skin.

Her velvet lipsticks aren't available anymore as far as I know

Yeah and I heard that she gave out a ton to influencers, hem hem

But hopefully since it was such a big success she will be able to produce more and I will be able to get my hands on them in the States.

I've kind of given up on the liquid liner. I do much better when I use a slanted brush and wet it and just use a black shadow as liner. Looks the same but I feel like I have better control.

Omg I tried that once and it...was interesting. As in, I just gave up and ended up with a "smokey eye"

When I started doing makeup years ago I didn't bother with eyeliner on my top lid and it looked okay but now I feel like it needs to match a bit? My friend tried to show me how to tightline with mascara but I think it's just not meant to be

Have you tried brush tip eyeliners? I find them so much easier to use than every other type of liner. I keep going back to Physicians Formula eye booster because it's cheap and easy to find everywhere. I also find it goes on smoother than some of the higher end ones, like the Kat Von D tattoo liner.

Yeah I’ve tried both the Heroine Make liner and the NYX Epic Ink liner. I’ve gotten a lot better at it but I feel like it will still take at least four years to be good at it

Practice is literally the only way to get good at it, unfortunately. Also, you need to find which way of drawing a wing works for your eye shape. I have quite hooded eyes and all the examples on the internet of drawing a perfect wing just look like a mess on me because of the way my eyelid crinkles. Try a few different styles of wing and you might find what works best for you.

Wings don’t really flatter my eye shape but I’m thinking of getting one of those cat eye stampers on the off chance that it will work for me. Hopefully with practice I will get to the point where I don’t pull my eye a bit to apply liner

Thank you for your help and encouragement btw!

No worries! Good luck with it :) Also I definitely pull my eyelid every time I do eyeliner lol.

Because I've got smaller eyes, and one is like, sliiightly deeper set than the other it's never noticeable until I put on liquid eyeliner lol. So I just now line under my lashes to give definition and give up trying to have cat eyes

This is what I do. I can work with gel liner okay too but liquid liner is a disaster.

I do this a lot, especially when I'm not wearing much other makeup, it looks softer and mistakes are easier to clean up.

Same I do this everyday

That's exactly what I do. I create my "wing" by drawing outside-in first, then fill in the rest. It's a bit softer than liquid, which is better for my coloring.

i had a lot of issues with liner until i found the brush tip liquid liners, as opposed to the felt tip ones. they work so so much better and last much longer since if they get clogged up you can actually clean the brush off. physician's formula eye booster and nyx epic ink liner are the two i use.
