Ok, so is this a plea deal or what? I need answers before I make conclusions. Or better yet I'll just reserve judgment for a hundred years because this case is a trip.

Yeah, it looks like he cut a deal. The TMZ story said the prosecutor didn't see any point in prosecuting because he'd only get community service and apparently he already does community service. It was a weird justification.

He def did not take a deal

He agreed to forfeit his bond money. It wasn't a plea deal specifically, but his lawyers definitely made a deal with the prosecution.

He took a "pre-deal." That's what they call it. An arrangement, not a plea deal, so he can avoid pleading.

No deal.

They said it's not a deal, but it was an "agreement" which means literally the same thing except he wasn't required to make a guilty plea.

So it doesn't mean the same thing.

It means he made a deal that wasn't a plea deal.

Lmao but you can appreciate why people are touchy about the language. They have two different meanings

To drop all charges he likely would have had to agree to plead guilty. Normally a plea deal doesn’t end with a clean slate. You either agree to plead guilty and not to fight the prosecution and they drop it or you plea to a lesser offense. Doesn’t really sound like he struck a deal but more like they didn’t have enough credible evidence to pursue a case. Could be the Nigerian brothers recanted.

A similar thing happened with that YouTuber who faked a hate-crime a couple years ago. They ended up dropping the filing a false police report charges even though he definitely did it and he just got the vandalism charge.

Yeah but that still ended with some kind of charge. That’s not what’s happening with Jussie.

Well Jussie didn't also vandalize people's cars. The YouTuber got some probation for the vandalism and then went around telling everyone he was exonerated and acted like he was still the victim because the other charges were dropped and I'm sure his legal team wasn't as good as Jussie's.
