Imagine Dragons' Dan Reynolds asks religious leaders to condemn conversion therapy, accept LGBT kids

Mar 20, 2019 16:15

I plead with our religious leaders across the world to stand up for equality together. true equality - not empty words of love - but statements and actions thats show our LGBTQ youth that they are “sinless” and perfect just as they are.

most churches allow for that but ultimately a majority would have to take action for it.

It’s like watching them performing autosarcophagy. Soon or later, they will crash and burn

It's completely disgusting, the things they're allowed to get away with.

Wasn't there a huge scandal recently about nuns in the Vatican being used as sex slaves by priests, and when the whole thing got exposed, the Vatican's solution was to move the nunnery elsewhere, as if THAT would solve the problem? The priests didn't suffer any consequences at all because they're above the law, or some bs. They should've been castrated and left to bled to death in their own grave that they dug themselves. Those poor nuns...

This is exactly why I can't when it comes to Catholics. The fact that they continue to support someone so morally bankrupt and continue to let him lead sermons like his words are the end all of what is pure and good is just... I don't even have the words to describe how enraging this is.

All these assholes going on about how the #metoo movement is hurting all the "innocent until proven guilty" men. Like really? Where??? Because all I keep seeing is these rich rapists and sexual harassers quiting their jobs and immediately getting another one in the same field, same power tier as the one they just left because all those on top are all the same type of people. You wouldn't make it to the top if you're not "one of them", and they all look out for each other.

The victims on the other hand, get dragged through the mud and are constantly being put in positions where they have to relieve the worse moments of their lives just to be judged and criticized by the mass public. It's sickening.

The Vaticans response to abuse in the church has been moving the abuser(s) or victims to other places for a LONG time

There was also that story of a pedo priest who got moved to different churches like 5/6 times and every time his new congregation got some thinly veiled letter telling them to keep him away from the kids

The hypocrisy and gas-lighting is really...

Why do people continue to attend and respect his sermons? The line between religion and cults are so thin.
